Denver Botanical Gardens

Meandering through the garden can best be described as soothing for the soul - quiet for the ears, gorgeous for the eyes, peaceful for the mind.  With a variety of garden themes, lovely pathways with surprises around the corners, ample spots to stop, rest and contemplate, a morning or afternoon spent at the Botanical Garden is delightful.  These 23 acres are well tended, the flowers, bushes and trees well marked, the paths clear and easy to follow.  Water - ponds and fountains add to the immense variety of sensual experiences. During the summer there are outdoor concerts on many Monday and Wednesday evenings with musicians strategically placed throughout the gardens to encourage walking and listening.  There is also a lovely cafe in the middle of the gardens for a coffee or light lunch.  If I lived in Denver, I would not only be a member, but a volunteer as well.  It is just THAT peaceful and beautiful.
